Sun Therapy Garden, Harefield Hospital
The ITU Sun Therapy Garden will see an existing underused space upgraded within the grounds of Harefield Hospital. The aim is to provide critically ill patients, their families and staff a place to escape from the ward and connect with nature.
The design recognizes that connection with loved ones and nature can be profoundly healing. We also know from
experience that seeing a patient in a more natural environment reenergizes both visitors and staff, which is vital during what can be such a painful and testing experience.
Contributors to the cause are helping to establish a legacy of compassion. Every contribution brings us closer to making the ITU Sunshine Therapy Terrace truly live up to its name – a place of sunshine for those going through a dark time.
